One postdoctoral position is available immediately at the University of California, San Francisco to study the effect of vascular risk factors on cognitive and neurophysiological outcome in animal models, and to develop potential therapeutic strategies using brain stimulation.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree. Projects will involve a multidisciplinary approach using in vitro and in vivo transgenic or rodent disease models to study the pathological mechanism and process. A strong background in neurobehavioral science and electrophysiology is preferred. UCSF offers rigorous scientific training in a rich and stimulating research environment.
