Post-doctoral position (Poitiers, France)

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory Signalisation et Transports Ioniques membranaires (Laboratoire STIM, University of Poitiers, Poitiers, France).

Starting date : september/december 2020/january 2021 Duration : 2×12 months
The postdoctoral fellow will performed biochemical characterization of rescued F508del-CFTR channels and study the effect of small molecule correctors & potentiators of F508del-CFTR channels and other disease-causing variants including rare mutation.

Our research group is dedicated to the search of novel pharmacological agents of therapeutic interest in the context of the genetic disease Cystic Fibrosis and thus has a strong expertise, know-how and knowledge of the pharmacology and structure of the CFTR channel. The laboratory has all facilities for patch-clamping, cellular electrophysiology (Ussing chambers), molecular biology, biochemistry, confocal imaging, a collection of CFTR mutants and pharmacological agents…

Applicant must have an expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology and if possible in electrophysiology (patch-clamp, Ussing method) and an expertise in human airway epithelial cell culture.
