IE – Gut-brain axis (Lille, France, 13+ mois)

Information

We are recruiting a lab engineer for a 13-month contract with the possibility of extending it to 24 additional months. The candidate will work on a French National Agency for Research-funded project (project MATBIOTA) aiming at examining the development and plasticity of the gut-brain axis, with a particular emphasis on the microbiota and the hypothalamus.

The candidate will work with Drs. Sébastien Bouret and Marialetizia Rastelli in the Inserm team Development and plasticity of the neuroendocrine brain within the Lille Neuroscience & Cognition research center in Lille, France. Lille is a vibrant city located in the North of France 1h from Paris, 1.5h from London, and 30 mins from Brussels.

Profile

The candidate will have a Master’s degree in Biology or Biomedical research and preferably a diploma to be able to perform animal research. Expertise in immunohistochemistry and metabolic phenotyping in rodents is a plus. Excellent verbal and written English skills are required (French not required).
