The aim of the project focuses on the identification of at-risk subjects to develop depressive disorders and co-morbidities and the underlying mechanisms. The first task aims at evaluating the roles of neurotrophic factors in brain remodeling by different approaches including biochemistry and cellular/molecular biology. The second task focuses on the transfer of pre-clinical results to human evaluation.
We are looking for a well-trained and highly motivated young scientist to identify new therapeutic targets for the identification of at-risk individuals. The postdoctoral fellow will perform studies on cells, pre-clinical models, and patients.
The candidate will hold a Ph.D. in the biology-health field with a solid background in cell signaling and biochemistry. A strong experience of animal behavior is required. Experience in proteomics and Mass will be appreciated. Experience in cell culture techniques and the practice of basic techniques of biochemistry and molecular biology will be necessary. In order to successfully achieve the project, the candidate must show autonomy and skills for scientific writing, organization, and communication as well as the ability to work efficiently as a team and independently.
