Postdoctoral position in cancer research

Tumor microenvironment Endothelial cells Metastasis

The position is based in the emerging research group of Dr. Anna Rita Cantelmo in the established laboratory of Cell Physiology, INSERM U-1003, University of Lille, Villeneuve d’Ascq, France.

The laboratory of Cell Physiology, headed by Prof. Natacha Prevarskaya, is interested in the alterations of ion channel properties and in the identification of mechanisms determining calcium signature during cancer progression. In this context, the emerging group will focus on tumor-stromal interactions occurring in the tumor microenvironment in order to understand the disease mechanism of metastasis and develop novel therapeutic approaches. The project is supported by collaborators in tumor microenvironment, translational and clinical research.

The University of Lille is a multidisciplinary University of excellence located in the North-West Europe.

Having recently won a place in a huge national plan to finance excellence (I-site), it is committed to build its international policy around research and innovation, international recruitment and partnerships of excellence.

The position offers intensive training in in vivo models, state-of-the-art ex vivo approaches and translational research.

The position is offered for two years.
