For the first time this year, the NBA participated to the organization of the National Science Day in Bordeaux thanks to its collaboration with Cap-Sciences. Indeed, in 2016, Cap-Sciences decided to focus this event on Neurosciences due to the excellent research activity in this field in Bordeaux. It was logical for the NBA to be present and to help during this 2 days (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th, 2016).
Researchers from Bordeaux Neurocampus and INRIA, students from the NBA, and brain diseases patient associations were associated for this event. It was the ideal occasion for the 2600 visitors to understand the magic of the brain, better understand some neurological diseases, observe some neurons through a microscope, and discuss with researchers and NBA students about the career in brain research labs.
In total, 25 laboratories, institutes, universities, schools, associations and artists brought this program around 15 animation stands in the village, 2 exhibitions, 3 workshops, 8 conferences and 1 performance.
