Postdoctoral position (Department of In Vitro Toxicology – Brussels) // Deadline 30th of March

Profile : You hold a doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, sciences or equivalent. You have a master degree in pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences, medical sciences, sciences or equivalent. You have experience in experimental in vitro toxicology and/or fundamental liver research with relevant scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and presentations in international conferences.
You have practical know-how regarding cell cultivation techniques as well as molecular biology and
cell biology methodologies, preferably in the field of connexin and pannexin signaling.
You have experience in supervising bachelor and master students.

Job description : You will be involved in an innovative research project focused on the role of connexin and pannexin
signaling in liver disease. You will perform cell cultivation experiments and molecular biology analyses. Your scientific work should result in a number of manuscripts published in international peer-reviewed journals. You will assist in the supervision of bachelor students, master students and doctoral students. You will assist in writing grant applications. You will assist to a minimal extent in the organisation of practical courses for students in master in pharmaceutical sciences.
