A post-doctoral position is available in the team “Neurodevelopment – Neuroadaptation – Neurodegeneration” at the Laboratory of Experimental and Clinical Neurosciences (INSERM U1804 at the University of Poitiers, http://lnec.labo.univ-poitiers.fr/)
The goal of the project is to investigate dopamine-dependent network mechanisms underlying behavioral flexibility as well as the predictive value of behavioural flexibility and other endophenotypes to the development of an addiction to dopamine replacement therapy in individuals with dopaminergic neurodegeneration. The project will combine behavioural, electrophysiological, and post-mortem investigations to identify neural circuits, cellular and molecular mechanisms.
Candidates must hold a PhD in biological sciences or neuroscience. Significant experience with behavioural analysis in rodents and/or in vivo electrophysiology is required. Experience with stereotaxic surgery and post-mortem analysis (immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, image analysis) is desired. Experience with in vivo photometry would be an asset. The position is for an initial duration of 18 month. Salary is in accordance with University guidelines.
