Cologne’s Neuroscientists would like to bring to your attention the upcoming fourth Recruitment Summer School on Neural Circuit Analysis on the Cellular and Subcellular Level taking place April 15th – 22nd, 2020 at the University of Cologne organized by the Research Training Group “Neural Circuit Analysis on the Cellular and Subcellular Level”.

The Research Training Group (RTG-NCA | RTG 1960) is a structured doctorate program at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University and University Clinics of Cologne in Germany funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Doctoral candidates in the RTG-NCA examine nervous system function in health and disease across the molecular, cellular and network level, using both experimental and theoretical/modelling approaches.

New doctoral candidates will be recruited through this Recruitment Summer School. We are seeking worldwide for late phase or recently finished MSc students with a background in natural/life sciences and a true interest in pursuing a PhD in neurosciences in Cologne.

The programme of the Summer School includes theoretical as well as experimental introduction into the respective fields of neurosciences.
For participants, who will be selected to join the RTG-NCA, the doctoral training will start in October 2020.
This will be preceded by up to two months for the laboratory finding and matching phase (so-called laboratory rotations).

Important Information and Deadlines:
The Recruitment Summer School will take place April 15th – 22nd, 2020 at the institutes of (and affiliated to) the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Medical Faculty of the University of Cologne.
