PhD positions (TV-L 13, 65%) are available in“Neural Regeneration and Plasticity” group at the Department of Neurology, Charité university hospital Berlin for a period of three years, starting February1st 2018.
The main research focus is the description of endogenous neuroregenerative processes in animal models for neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson´s and Alzheimer´s and the modulation of the brains own repair capacity by external stimulation.
There are looking for highly motivated, inquisitive, enthusiastic, and result-driven PhD candidates with prior research experience in animal model research. Candidates should ideally hold Master’s degrees in Biology, Biotechnology, Neuroscience or related disciplines which are relevant for the development of innovative diagnostic and regenerative therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative diseases.
